LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network

The Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) is excited to serve as the new host for the LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network, connecting our members to emergent practices, research, and resources that support museums’ ability to offer quality playful learning experiences to their visitors and local community.
This work is generously funded by The LEGO Foundation and supported by The LEGO Group. The LEGO Foundation’s aspiration is for children to become creative, engaged, lifelong learners who thrive in a constantly changing world.
The LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network
Since 2021, seventeen museums have participated in the LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network. Last year alone, these museums created mutually beneficial partnerships with over 35 community groups—together reaching over 2 million children with impactful Learning through Play experiences.
The network has leveraged the trusted status of museums, along with a cadre of trained educators, to drive the quality and quantity of Learning through Play within and beyond the walls of museums.
Over the next two years, ASTC will continue to support a network of museums dedicated to Learning through Play, as well as engage the broader ASTC community in Playful Learning emerging practices, research, and resources.
