The Lancaster Science Factory, engaging almost 80,000 guests annually, is seeking an Education Manager. The Education Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of the Science Factory’s education programs on and off-site. This includes development, implementation, evaluation, and promotion of the Science Factory’s diverse roster of fun, hands-on STEM education programs for PreK through 8th grade. The Manager will be a leader who is passionate about STEM education, creates a positive environment for teaching and learning, and ensures that programs are welcoming and inclusive. Preferred skills for the Manager include 3+ years advancing leadership in STEM Education, bachelor’s degree in STEM, Education, Museum Education or equivalent, 3 years of staff supervision. This person has a positive attitude and exceptional teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills.

Visitor Services and Sales Manager

The Manager will oversee Visitor Services, Gift Shop, Memberships, and Group and Facility Rental sales. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation at the admission desk, retail store, and exhibit hall, to both enhance the visitor experience and raise earned revenue to support the Science Factory’s mission. The Manager will be a leader who provides a fun, inclusive, and collaborative work environment while guiding the Visitor Services Team towards operational excellence. The preferred skills for the Manager include 3+ years advancing responsibility in sales or operating a public venue, an associate’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience, and 3+ years of supervising staff. This person should have a positive attitude and exceptional teamwork, problem solving and communication skills.

Museum Education Coordinator

The University of Kansas Natural History Museum seeks a museum education coordinator to develop and implement a range of science education programs and resources. Responsibilities include teaching, program development, and administration. This person should be creative, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and curious about science and natural history, comfortable presenting complex content, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Master’s degree in a relevant field and 1 year of professional science teaching experience required OR Bachelor’s and 3 years experience.
